Update to 2:00 AM inflammation and new rheumy
“Your bloods are fine, reduce to 20, there are other drugs if this doesn’t work,
Actemra
).” I SO don’t want to have to fight about symptoms, reducing, being heard and listened to again!

The beauty of the right treatment
I just wanted to share a picture of my Easter cake. I made this at my sugarcraft class last night. The reason I'm sharing isn't just because I'm proud but because 6 months ago I couldn't even walk, dress or wash myself. After starting treatment with RoActemra I now have the use of my hands back. Loving

Another detour
By the way
Actemra
is going well. No side effects, feel better (aside from the thyroid!) and tapering.

I'm also on Tocilizumab (
actemra

Anyone else on Actemra for PMR?
After two and a half years of trying to reduce pred doseage for PRM (I’m 72 and have osteoporosis) my rheumatologist got me approved for
Actemra
. Before adding
Actemra
, I couldn’t get below 10 mg pred daily (along with weekly methotrdxate) without a flare.

23 with RA and osteoarthritis - help!
I've been on many medications over the years, methotrexate, sulphasalazine, humira, cimzia,
actemra
. More recently I have had significant joint damage to my knee, jaws, and elbow. my RA is now causing osteoarthritis but at only 23 this is very daunting.

PMR where are you?
She advised me to stay at my current dose of Rayos for 2 months along with
Actemra
. 2 days after the shot all the inflammation gone. As the days progressed I felt better and better. This is the first time I have absolutely no feeling of PMR. I feel 100% normal.

Rising blood sugars
I have just begun, five weeks ago, on my second biologic having failed on all DMards and Benepali. Now on RoActemra. My latest HbA1C has risen considerably. I am a Type 2 Diabetic, well controlled on tablets for many years. As I have not changed diet or anything else I wonder if it is a side effect

I wanted to report about my
Actemra
treatment and how I feel after three weeks. I took my first injection on December 21, 2017 for GCA and felt already much less fatigued the next morning. After six days my chronic cough disappeared.

Depo Medrol shot for Flare
Hi everyone, I am on
Actemra
for PMR. I am also currently on 4mg of Rayos (time released Prednisone). I recently had a flare because I reduced too quickly. Completely my fault as I was feeling so great. The drop to 3mg was too fast and against Dr orders (and the Aunties).
