Fostair - So far so good!

What I was dreading was similar to the previous 'maintenance' inhalers, Tiotropium & Aclidinium, both of which delivered a paradoxic reaction & had to be stopped. No coughing at al now, & my evening dose of Salbutamol is no longer needed so far, thankfully!

I'm new here, been prescribed new meds !

Following a chest X Ray April 2016 after a sudden decrease in FEV1 to 33% my GP confirmed COPD and prescribed Eklira Aclidinium bromide 322 mcg. Despite taking all 3 inhalers as described I was still getting very breathless.

Chronic airway remodelling

I recently ( during a very stressful period) had really bad asthma ( it is usually pretty much under control) as a result I have had tests and now on Fostsir and an extra spray called Bretaris (aclidinium) which seems to have helped - however they sent me for a CT scan - all clear but chronic asthma

The drugs

Previously, I was on Aclidinium and Fostair twice a day, and using a Salbutamol nebuliser 4 times a day. This was changed and I now use the Aclidinium twice, a new inhaler called Relvar once in the morning, and a Phyllocontin pill twice a day. The difference has been amazing.

Inhalers like Ventolin?

Spiriva, Aclidinium and Bricanyl. The only inhaler I can use is Ventolin. Is there anything of a similar but stronger version on the market. May thanks Steve

Anxious

GP has given me Duaklir Genuair inhalation powder Aclidinium/Formoterol Fumarate dihydrate which is a long acting bronchodilator! I have not taken it yet as so many awful side affects I am really scared to take it. Has anyone heard of this drug or similar?

New Medication

Recently been diagnosed with severe COPD and been prescribed the following meds: Relvar 92 mcg Aclidinium 322mg I have taken for the past 4 days and apart from a splitting headache when I take them, which last for about an hour, I have had no real change in my symptoms.

Aclidinium Bromide

I was given this drug last week instead of Spiriva. There was no discussion beforehand ,it was just written on my repeat prescription: new inhaler.I had a really bad reaction to it which I won't go into to but it has left me back to where I was 2 years ago, constantly breathless and waking up coughing

Eklira Genuair 322 (aclidinium bromide)

I have been on the above inhaler for about 5/6 days and feeling really rough. Sunday night I awoke gasping for breath about 4am, I got up and realised I had forgotten my evening dose which the nurse thought could be the reason, have not had that again but gradually I am getting worse with a cough, wheezing

Hi everyone, just a quick query.

I am on Symbicort 400/12 inhaler aswell as Aclidinium bromide inhaler. I have started getting a lot of congestion in a morning that I find very hard to remove, sometimes I get the horrible feeling of suffocating which is beginning to panic me to say the least.
