Are these drugs Ok to take with Ibrutinib or
Acalabrutinib
? Are these drugs just opening you up to infections or other cancers ? is the alternative that you just live with the pain.

Acalabrutinib and side effects
I have been on
Acalabrutinib
for over 2 1/2 years, and my blood numbers are stable within normal range. I now have to go for blood draw and CT scans only every six months. I am nominally in remission, thanks to
Acalabrutinib
. However, in the last few months, my pulse has increased significantly.

Loss of a great man
Since that time, his CLL was left untreated as his team at both UPENN and the VA were trying to procure
acalabrutinib
for him. He was taking 30mg of prednisone during this time along with 100mg of promacta to treat his newly diagnosed ITP and raise his platelets.

Acalabrutinib & Proton Pump Inhibitors
My doc mentioned that
Acalabrutinib
should be available soon for what I have - CLL 17p delete - and that I would be a good candidate but I read that you cannot take products like Nexium, a proton pump inhibitor with it because of contraindications.

Long term treatment for 11q
I know of ventecolax and
acalabrutinib
but are there some other drugs in the pipeline that have you all excited? Dr. Aman said he is coming out with a research paper in December that has him very excited, but didn't tell me what drugs would be included. 3. CAR T-Cell or stem cell transplant.

CLL and Psoriatic Arthritis
I understand
Acalabrutinib
is being tested for Rhumitoid arthritis so maybe if I can hold out until its approved I will be able to kill two birds with one drug. Then again I think
acalabrutinib
may only get approved for second line therapy, not first line.

Acalabrutinib results, two years this coming August 3.
It has been almost two years since I began the trial with
Acalabrutinib
, my fourth round of treatment. My counts are all within normal range, and my CD19 has decreased exponentially since the peak lymphocyte count, some two months after I began the study.

ACP-196 (Acalabrutinib) TRIAL - 31st monthly cycle achieved with full remission
Not been here for a while as nothing really to report. Husband is still on the ACP-196 trial and has just come up to his 31st monthly cycle. He had a bone marrow biopsy two weeks ago and went for his 3-monthly checkup last Monday. The good news is he is in full remission. At he moment he has been

High fever as side effect of Ibrutinib ?
So they asked me to join an Ibrutinib-
Acalabrutinib
trial group. I started Ibrutinib 4 days ago. Since then I get very high fever - almost 40C - every evening. My head is "burning" and I feel very weak. I was hospitalized for one day and went through all the blood, urine tests and chest X-RAY.

I've just reviewed treatments and am more confused!
-
acalabrutinib
is less toxic and 2nd-generation but availability is uncertain - other "TGR-1202 (PI3K inhibitors)" are in the pipeline (I've noted idelalisib, duvelisib and ofatumumab but have no idea what these do, how effective they may be, or what the long-term effects are because they're so new.
