Any adverse effect if taking three-month Lupron shot two weeks late?
Hi friends, my father has been on Lupron shots every three months with
Abiraterone
pills for about a year now. His next shot will be 14 weeks due to some insurance problems. What is the ideal and acceptable time range between shots that won’t risks benefits of treatment?

Triple Therapy
I started with Lupron+
Abiraterone
+ Docetaxel. As I mentioned before elevated liver enzymes caused MO to place me on an
Abiraterone
vacation after cycle 1 of Docetaxel. Docetaxel was reduced to 3/4 dosage.

I fired my oncologist
Almost a year ago I had radiation and started Lupron, Prednesone, and
Abiraterone
which immediately brought my PSA and T levels to undetectable. I also enrolled in a clinical trial of an experimental immunotherapy drug SD-101 along with infusions of Keytruda (pembrolizumab).

Examining Prostate Cancer Survival Outcomes by Patient Age and Treatment Type in Patients with mHSPC

abiraterone
), with antagonists showing a more pronounced benefit” https://www.urotoday.com/video-lectures/asco-gu-2024/video

Switching from prednisone to dexamethasone with abiraterone
Obviously, I'd like to continue
abiraterone
as long as it's working.

A List for Newly Diagnosed that My Wife did in 2022 please add to list if anything is missed or wrong or needs updating. TIA
- These include: * ADT, Androgen Deprivation Therapy, which works by decreasing testosterone levels and slowing cancer growth * Hormonal therapies such as
abiraterone
and enzalutamide * Chemotherapy, such as Docetaxel Infusion Chemotherapy is often used after the body stops responding to hormone

Off Abiraterone ?
When I started chemo
Abiraterone
was discontinued. A recent post suggested that lowering T is even more important if castrate resistant. So why was
Abiraterone
discontinued?

Another Cialis Question
After some ups and downs with his liver values, he is currently taking Orgovyx,
Abiraterone
, and Prednisone. PSA and T are undetectable, and he is doing as well as can be expected. Now, my husband is in “cruise control” mode (his MO’s words).

Abiraterone vs Docetaxel
I bring up the metastatic burden, because I could not find a clinical trial where ADT+AAP (
Abiraterone
+Prednisone) did not offer a superior outcome to ADT+D (Docetaxel) in 70+ year old patients with a low metastatic burden. When QOL is factored into the equation, the choice seems overwhelming.

Survival outcomes and prognostic factors for first-line abiraterone acetate or enzalutamide in patients with metastatic CRPC
Patients with mCRPC who received first-line ARATs had better survival if they had a PSA nadir≦2 ng/mL or a TTN≧7 months. Further study is needed to determine if an early switch in therapy for those in whom neither is achieved may impact OS. https://bmccancer.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12885
