get on that boat and go

So I am 16 months from my dx starting with a very high psa and a suspected supper scan on my bone scan ,scary stuff .but with the help of degarelex and abiraterone my psa is down to .014 I am feeling fine and planing to go on in a long sailing trip this summer. My question is to do this I would have to stop the monthly degarelex and shift to lupron that has a three month deport and then when I return continue degarelex with monthly injections. Does this seem wise to fool around with what is working.

Awesome Brother, congrats on the PSA nadir

Enjoy your sailing trip and push away thoughts of F'in PCa

I'll let others comment on switch to Lupron. I've been on it since 2015, had an 18 month Hormone Holiday from 03/2017 to 12/2018. Abiraterone failed, then Zytiga in 2020.

But, I'm still here LoL

Fight on

QoL on

Both Firmagon and Lupron stop your testes from producing testosterone - it doesn't matter which one you use for that purpose. Many men with lots of metastases start with Firmagon to prevent a hurtful testosterone surge and then switch to Lupron after they have achieved chemical castration.

great news that new level, brother. Let’s hope you can hold it there for years.

Absolutely, ……. “ now “ is time for that sailing trip. Go earlier rather than later. Get out and have some fun QOL time, especially with friends and family. While you are at it, post some pictures and info about your trip …right here on the group. Preface your post a QOL post so others ( the ones that don’t like to read the quality of life posts ) can skip over those posts. Your QOL posts can encourage your other brothers to do the same.

❤️❤️❤️
