Big happy smiling family caregivers. Good for you buddy … big bruddha … that big smile and truckload of professional personality looks good on you. You have reason for some smiles …. You deserve it.

#11 IMRT done, last one on 04/26. I asked the front desk lady to switch 8am appt that day to the last pm slot, so that I can bring Champagne/Prosecco for them😀

12/2015 - 15th and final chemo that year, brought Chandon. PSA went from 840.2 down to 0.7
OMG ….. that’s professional grade snuzzling up to the staff. Yayahahahaya. I’ll bet if I took some lobster tails and Montrachet in with me, there’d be no waiting 45 minutes past my appointment time as well. Yayahahahaya yayahahahaya. You have the upper hand being a clinical style medical professional / manager yourself. You know “ exactly “ how to push those staff buttons to get those BIG smiles. You know they love ya there buddy . Yayahahahaya. Good go’in
Nudd’in but smiles in that picture , you got them hooked yayahahahaya. Seriously tho … I think you go to Kaiser down there too …. when you are a palliative croaker, Kaiser always takes me in first .. and gives me special treatment trying to make me feel comfortable and attended to.

You're dead on about being in Healthcare, we always appreciate the lil things that pts may bring or make: Summer veggies, peanut brittle, that Calligraphy on my front count was done by a pt, & that carved "Dr. Kam"
We all need affirmation and the thoughtfulness of even a card is totally appreciated
And Yes the staff and I have fun, it's stressful for them seeing 60 pts in a day, so I provide a lil levity to start the day
At my #18th and last chemo in 2022, I brought Chocolate covered macadamia nuts and walked thru the clinic handing them out, even to pts in the chemo bay

mannnnm …. Ther’ll be people from the chiropractor across the street…. the used car lot down the street … insurance company on 2nd floor yayah yaya yayahahahaya. Word will spread and everyone will be showing up for cookies, macadamia nuts, dunking donuts. When they hear you have an appointment, it’s party time. 😂😂😂😂. Ima coming over too … yayahahahaya.

So, the commonality in my giving of treats is the number of appointments spent with them: 2015 at least 30 (Chemo then next day saline) 2021-2022 18 Chemos and now 28 appts with the RT😁 That's a sh*t ton of Tx's

dang … you’ve had more treatments there than my cousin Anne getting her face fixed ( 50gal drum of Botox ) Chemo bay, heck , they should name the whole wing after you. Seriously tho, it’s helped you hang on for nearly 8 years now …and still going strong. That’s really great hanging in there preserving . Obviously it’s been total hell tho. Kripes.
I’m sold bruddha … I go in for more Lupron and Zometa and a couple weeks, ima gonna bring the giant economy size of doughnut holes from Krispy Kreme for everyone. Yayahahahaya.
Ima hoping this latest run of treatments adds a lot more mileage buddy, keep us posted on how well it produces. You’re the poster boy for how a person can endure a ton of treatments and actually have them work out for you. So many here can’t endure the whole string or it does nothing for them. Already you’ve benefitted better than a whopping lot of guys ever do …. all that good karma building up for you.

I had around 30 sessions and also almost no side effects except getting a bit tired after the last sessions. Wishing you the very best - keep on fighting.

My office manager met me at mile 2 and she brought her dogs, no PTSD from dog bite :-). we did 6 miles together. I walked her home and then continued to get to 20 miles on Saturday.

Bacon makes the world a better place. I've had Bacon/Beer at the Surf City marathon, Bacon, Spam and Beer in Hawaii for the HNL marathon, which also gives out Malasadas fried dough ball drenched in sugar.

54 Zometa pain train infusions have caused my teeth to crack to pieces , but Ive still got enough nubs and slivers to eat -chew well enough. Not much point to doing much in there at this point yayahahahaya.
what has been your experience with the drug Abiraterone? My hubby’s PSA is still rising even though he’s been getting Lupron injections every six months.
Hi, I started Abiraterone in 01/2020 with PSA at 11.7, it got down to 4.1 in May and hit 9.2 in 09/2020. Switched to Xtandi and that failed in a few months.
Had 6 more Taxotere sessions (had 15 in 2015) to rechallenge the PCa and maybe reset the Androgen Receptor. LoL that didn't work, so had 1st of 18 Cabazitaxels on 11/21.
Again a No Go, had PSMA that showed L of Prostate lit up with SUV Max at 87.5 with PCa descending into perineum🤔
Had 28 IMRTs and MO okayed Abiraterone with Dexamethasone and PSA has responded but who knows if it was IMRT and/or Abiraterone
