I’ve been doing yoga for a wile now asI am ( or, rather, was) the worlds most unbendy person. It started about 2 years ago following an injury; my osteopath suggested I did it to help with my very stuff hips ( which related to my injury).
And today, I actually managed Lotus position on both sides ( my right side is very problematic ). It’s not very polished or anything, but it shows that even the tin man can get some flex!!!!
Here is a link to the routine I followed.... this guy is awesome.
I think I can do it, just about but it is disagreeable on the knees and ankles so I'm more 'easy' pose. But oh boy do I love that twist, tremendously therapeutic for body and mind.
(I am working on a theory that us unbendy sorts - I've got stronger but not more flexible - may be less injury prone)
Oooh this is fantastic ju-ju-! Well done. 👍 I have a very tight right hip that gives me problems sometimes (right now, if I am to be honest), so I might try this routine today.
(But how you can bear to look at that instructor’s shabby physique I’ll never know! He really needs to get in shape. 😂😂😂)
Wow! Looking good in Lotus ju-ju- ! Love the link above. This was pretty similar to my yoga class last Tuesday. It certainly gave me a good stretching and I went after a run which helped even more. I have a while to go until I manage a proper Lotus though...🧘♀️
Wow, well done, that is really great. I am slowly working on my flexibility, with me it is a really really slow process but I like his attitude to keep moving to help get more flexible that makes more sense that staying in a position that hurts which is what puts me off the most.
