Hi, my 13 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with neurally mediated syncope. Anyone on here with experience of this? She had a positive reaction to the head tilt test, is now medicated with 10 tablets of sodium daily, but had another episode last week. Any advice would be welcomed.

Has your daughter been advised to drink at least 2 litres of water a day as well as increasing her salt intake through these tablets? If you email info@stars.org.uk we can send you a Teen Healthy eating sheet for syncope and PoTS. With young adults lack of fluid and perhaps not eating regular meals can be a contributory factor.
