Fainting (Syncope) is losing consciousness, unless someone or an object prevents them. There are many underlying causes for a faint, one of the best ways to stop it is to keep hydrated, some are less serious whilst others can be fatal, therefore it is no minor matter and to learn more about Syncope please see our booklet; Reflex Syncope (vasovagal Syncope)
