Hi, 12 weeks ago I injured my knee, I have a large bucket handle tear of my meniscus, the loose bit of cartridge has been trapped up inside the joint and I've not been able to fully bend or straighten my knee or walk properly on it since it happened. It's been horribly painful.
I have been told by both my work place physio and at an MCAS assessment that it's going to need an operation to put it right. I have my first appointment with the consultant on Monday, a short notice one, since he only received and read my referral on Friday - so I'm a bit concerned that it happened so fast, makes me wonder what the physio put in her report to make him need to see me asap. Not that I'm complaining!
Anyway, the point of my post, what questions do I need to ask to get the best out of my appointment? Has anyone here been through the same thing?
Kate
