I have arthritis and inflammation in my ankle. The arthritis is so painful 😣 it is in my hips right shoulder, hands knees and degenerated in lower back. It’s hard after the loss of my mom of severe arthritis and old age. I have to work hard to keep moving so my joints won’t get stiff. Aqua fit seems to help a work in progress.

Hi Lv2teach52, "Aqua fit"...could you tell me more about it? Is it water aerobics? Thanks, Linda
Dear Lv2teach52,
yes it is hard but continuing to MOVE is so important for your joints. Movement actually helps keep the joints less painful. Water movement is often especially good. If you are a bit heavy, losing even 10 pound will take the equivalent of 30-60 pounds of pressure off your knees (and off your ankles) so that can really help too! Keep up the great work!

Hi,
Thanks for reaching out. I also have arthritis. When I get out of a car after a long drive I look like I am 20 years older then I am. Stretching exercises and easy yoga has helped. I also found that I have to buy new shoes more frequently. As soon as the soles were down just a little my ankles start to hurt again. Orthotics (shoe inserts) have also helped.

It is great it works the entire body because you are working against the 💦 water. After I retired from teaching 37 years and always loving being in the water I went to be a certified teacher for the YMCA I did it for 5 years. Now I just focus on me😊. Even if you just walk try it and let me know how you feel. You will feel it that night or the next day you will sleep well that night. Wait to hear from you 😊
