Are you doing a "Dynamic Warm Up" before you exercise?

It's important to warm up our muscles before we engage in exercise so we don't injure ourselves. This is even more important as we age, or what I like to say, those of us who are on the wiser (or higher) end of the wisdom journey. (smile) Did you know that warming up your body increases blood flow from your organs to your muscles where it can then provide oxygen and eliminate waste? (Right - it makes sense) I know that when I first get out of bed I typically feel tight and sore but with some movement I start to feel better and in less pain. So here are some warm up exercises which you can do before you exercise or you may consider doing them about 30 minutes after getting out of bed and starting to sip your morning cup of coffee or tea. See what you think and let me know if these help in any way. I'm going to give it a try and will report back. In the meantime, good luck and keep it moving because why???? Because Movement is Life!
