Has anyone experienced pealing finger tips with raynauds? Perhaps a chemical reaction to the hot hand packets I use?

I do and yes mine is do to my skin reacting to the hot packs. I have to be careful, I also get the same reaction if I use any type of tissue with lotion or anything on it. My nose peels and gets raw. I put lotion on prior to using the hand warmers and every so often I put it on some more if I am having to use them for a long time. This seems to have helped prevent mine from peeling. Hope you find some relief as they are definetly a necessity for me to go out.

Hi Kammy! Yes, i get that, too. It's tissue damage from the vasospasms. The tips of my fingers and around my nails get affected. It seems that as chilblains and swelling begin to heal, the skin get hard and starts to dry and peel.

I also get the same thing. However, the lotions seem to make the sores on my hands worse!

This has been something new for me. I have not even broken out the hot packets this year, nor have I used lotion. Not sure what would help. My doctor does not have any ideas. =( Just makes daily living complicated (especially typing). =/

Yes the tips of my fingers peel and get crusty. If I am not careful my body will see it as an injury and I end up with an ulcer. Also the top of my ears peel and hurt.
