Why does it take so long ?

I went to my GP yesterday and was prescribed Oramorph for the pain ,and was told to wait 24-48 hours for the hospital to get in touch re infusion .I got a call at 10 am this morning giving me an appointment with my Rheumy in a weeks time ! I don't know what to do any suggestions ?

I've had similar experiences to this in the past. RIng your rheumatologists secretary directly, and speak to them. If possible, get a relative to speak also, and just explain how bad you are feeling.

When this has happened with me, they've finally given in and told me to come for a check over straight away and then admitted that I needed to stay in hospital!

You have to be persistent!
