soak your hands in tepid water. I also wrap them loosely in fleece. You can also wrap them in a towel that has been warmed in the microwave. Not too hot, you will burn your hands. 911 can't help you. lay off caffiene, also learn biofeedback.

That what NHS direct told me to do about ring 999.x thanks

Get some silver gloves from the Raynaud's Association website and put them on when/before your fingers start to get cold and wrap your hands around a hot drink. I sometimes warm my silver gloves on a radiator before putting them on.

I kept my silver gloves on all morning yesterday until I felt warm enough and have been known to wear them most of the day at work, particularly as the person I share an office with is a fresh air freak and likes the window open, even at this time of year.

NHS direct are wrong in telling you to ring 999 - if you have Raynauds this is what happens - There are loads of things on the market that can help in keeping your hands warm - I still get attacks even when I have my mycoal handwarmers in my gloves - Try and keep you body warm as when you get cold the blood goes to the organs to keep them warm first - good luck and keep in touch x

Don't ever ring 999 for your hands changing colour. Just warm them up ,yes it's painful, it's even more painful as the blood rushes back again, but what on earth do think a paramedic can do for you.?

In case of emergency I have a hot cup of decaf coffee with Tia Maria in it or Irish Whiskey. I keep a small flask of it with me just in case.

I use the microwavable hand warmers ALL of the time ! even indoors ! As well as making sure to avoid getting them cold as the pain of the return of the blood is agonising ! So prevention is better than cure ! Im always wearing gloves throughout the year also ! Living the dream :)

I use the microwavable warmers too. My friends are very good about giving me pretty ones as gifts and pretty gloves!! Gloves all year for me too!

Wher can you get microwaveable hand warmers? Also does anyone know where I can get some microwaveable slippers? I bought some years ago from lakeland but they don't sell them now. ( ps I don'tmean pale fluffy ones but sunstantial mule type ones which ahve a detachable inner sole that heats up)

I have just been to the optician and been told I have dry eyes. She recommended drops, but what are the best drops to use?

I also have very dry nostrils (inside) - is this connected to the scleroderma? Could the dry eyes...
