Always am afraid. Think it's because we don't produce mucus of the correct viscitude so it is too thick. This results in blockages, infection, breathing probs and an all round pain in butt ( and adds to the headaches!!). Not found anything that improves it though as non of the meds you can get seem to work

Boy do I ever. I have been to an ENT and tried four different nasal spays but nothing is working. They are afraid to test for allergies because of lungs Ipulmonary fibrosis). I really think the nasal problems contribute to the breathing problems. It only makes since that the dripping from the back of the throat will get in the lungs while I sleep. Anyone else find any thing that will help. This is a real pain in the tush. Cough, clear the throat, cough.

Certainly and found that I had to persevere with the inital nosebleeds that came with the nasal sprays but found that after a month or so I could cut down the number of sprays, keeping the nasal passages open at night but no longer suffering with the nose bleeds.

every few months I feel so much better that I get to thinking that I dont need the spray anymore so forgot to take it and then a couple of weeks later i'm back to square one. One day I'll learn!

I do, but I also have Sjogren,s Syndrome, asthma, bronchiectasis, ireflux and allergies. However, they haven't been so bad since I started taking antihistamines, omeprazole, anti=allergy eye drops and Nazonex. This combination has kept things relatively controlled for about 4 years. (As well as three inhalers).

I also suffer with nearly all of the above that Pipsmum has,(not Sjogrens Syndrome that I'm aware of yet??) I've just learnt to put up with it all these years, and take anti-histamines everyday to reduce symptoms a little, and to enable me to keep my animals(which is the first thing doctors try to insist you get rid of) They give me great pleasure and reduce stress, which can only help (and a whole lot more than any other drugs they might try and prescribe)

All these years I've thought that nosebleeds, sinus problems, hayfever etc were all just that. I'm amazed to find others that all seem to have the same interconnected symptoms I have.

I also have a recurring blocked saliva gland which adds to the whole dripping down the throat experience with not being able to produce enough saliva. I have a constantly dry mouth!

I've had chronic sinus problems for as long as I can remember - way before I was diagnosed with Limited Scleroderma. I take antihistamines daily and Beconase nasal spray and the only way I can sleep at night is by having a couple of sprays of Sudafed! When I asked at The Royal Free Hospital clinic if there was a link between Scleroderma and sinus problems they said a high % of their patients have chronic sinus trouble.

Just started with blocked sinuses. Just another one to add to my very long list of medical problems.

Wow this also just answered my question as to not being able to breath proper on laying down. Would never have thought they was connected. And my smell and taste is minimum to say the least.
