Raynaud’s

Hello, I’m 31 years old and my whole life I’ve had poor circulation purple blotchy legs cold hands and feet the older I’ve become the more obvious it is and more discomfort it causes me, I’ve been to my gp a number of times and apparently all my blood tests come back normal, but some days I can’t even move my hand or walk, does anyone else then get red sore toes?

Two thoughts: could be livedo reticularis or it could be Erythromelalgia - which I have and can cause purple and blue legs as well as red hot swollen feet and legs. Here’s a link for you to read and show your GP. The blood tests they ran may not be specific enough or if it’s Erythromelalgia then they may not have heard of it because it’s rare: sruk.co.uk/scleroderma/eryt....

Thankyou so much it’s always been the case I remember as a child not wanting to wear certain clothes to show my legs my hands also turn white my fingers both hands and can happen at any time just in discomfort more as the weather

Maybe primary Erythromelalgia then? This could explain why nothing showed in your blood tests. It’s a horrible condition I know. My hands get it really badly now. However blood tests aren’t everything and it really depends what they tested you for.

A good reply from OldT there. The link provided suggests a number of possibilities. Therefore your symptoms could be connected with ANOther illness/disease.

Also as OldT suggests ref the blood tests - depends what is being tested for!

Have you seen a rheumatologist recently (or ever).

Perhaps you might ask your GP doctor if you could get a referral to a rheumatologist since you suspect your symptoms may be connected to an autoimmune disease.

Best wishes ongoing.

Kind regards.

I have ulcerative colitis and Reynauds in my hands, end of my nose and toes. My fingers will either turn bright red and burn or purple and numb and warming them back up is painful. Know that you are not alone and mittens work better than gloves...heat says in. Wear them when cleaning the freezer, too.

Thankyou oh my sounds painful for you how long have you had ulcers? My legs are constantly of colour and still pepole don’t understand I’m glad I live in England because I’ll wear leggings in the summer even though I’m envious of others because I haven’t been formally diagnosed yet I think if I was I wouldn’t care as it’s a actual condition
