Did anyone on this Board ever test positive (through punch biopsy) for Lichen Sclerosis?
If so, any helpful suggestions?

I was diagnosed visually by a consultant gynaecologist. I was prescribed dermovate cream and told never to have baths or go swimming and only use Dermol to wash down below in a weekly shower. It took about 6 months to get it under control with occasional flares but has been fine for the last few years, as long as I avoid sex!!
but I swim regularly with LS (Several times later week). Just need a decent level of barrier cream in advance.Mine is well controlled with reduced dilution betnovate and daily epaderm
thank you, I never heard of dermovate cream or Dermol wash. I will have to look for it
I was diagnosed about 2 years ago. I control flares with QV emollient wash, daily Hydromol cream, and twice weekly Dermovate. Sadly, this awful condition has altered the architecture of my genitals and sex has become impossible. Otherwise, it is manageable but no fun!
Hi, I don’t know what an RX is so I suppose we live in different countries. Dermovate and Replens are prescribed by my doctor. QV wash and Hydromol I get from the chemist or online. If you Google the names it may give you the brand names where you are. Good luck!
