critical illness insurance

Hi All, I am trying to get an insurance for future critical illness, I have tried several providers but my request always gets rejected as I have been diagnosed with scleroderma. My scleroderma is very mild, i don’t take any medications only effect is Raynaud … do you have any recommendations please? Thanks

Have you actually phoned a broker or are you doing online applications? I have found speaking to a broker and explaining your unmedicated, haven’t been hospitalised with your condition and it’s stabile helps greatly, also with holiday insurance.

Hi! Thanks for your reply! I have been talking with a broker who is actually very good. The problem are the insurance companies, every time we submit my request it gets declined because of scleroderma…

Holiday insurance works well though (so far… never got rejected!! )

How frustrating. Hope you manage to get it sorted out soon. This is one reason the doctors don’t like to give definitive diagnoses to early as it can have massive implications on these kind of important insurances and mortgages.
