Dear all

Just wondered if anyone has splinter haemorrhages and if so did you see anyone about them or mention them to either rheumatologist or dermatologist? I've had one long one on pinkie finger for ages and now have another one on index finger.

thank you for reading and have a lovely day xx

Good morning

I have splinter haemorrhages on my cuticles along with ‘mechanics’ hands. This has been since January. My rheumatologist is investigating me for anti synthesase syndrome. I also have something going on in my lungs since Christmas!

Wishing you all the best x

I rehomed her just before Christmas. She’s 2 years old and half Maine coon. She’s a right diva…. At the moment she’s drinking out of my glass and will then try to swipe everything off the side ! Xx

Maine coons really clever aren’t they ! I love cats as they are such characters . Mine thinks he lives in an all inclusive hotel and food should be constantly available !! X

I have all kinds of thread veins burst in my thighs, above my knees, on my chest, as well as cuticles. Have had the leg and chest ones for years. Also lips and pad of my thumb. The Scleroderma consultant said a few are telengectsasia (ie associated with scleroderma) but a lot aren't. The finger ones especially and some of the chest ones she said were telengectsasia. Not quite sure how they tell the difference! I haven't exposed my legs in years coz of how bad the ones on my thighs are. I think they were caused by wearing cycling shorts with a tight cuff one holiday about 30 years ago!

I’ve had splinter haemorrhages on off for years - but in the upper part of fingernails. They have mostly gone now that I get Iloprost and Mycophenolate so I’ve assumed they relate to my Raynaud’s / SSc/ Sjögren’s. My nails are pretty hopeless and I think I have lichen planus but it’s well managed by Mycophenolate if so x
