Hi Sorry to hear this, I usually find facial exercises can help. The weather at this time doesn't help with the skin either. Steaming the face is good as this helps loosing the skin and rejuvenates the face. A good moisturiser that is kind to the skin with vitamin E and helps with dry skin i.e Aveeno or vaseline intensive care or one that works for you is very good to use. Hope this helps.

Hi it's very painful isn't it, ive got tmjd, dentist told me over a year ago, nearly had a tooth out until second apt and dif dentists opinion! Now suffering more this last 13 months can't lay head on that side of face, nor bite/chew and at risk of jaw locking open. Having a nightmare scenario last 2 months as I have partly had a tooth removed, other side, so can't eat either side of mouth! Waiting for hospital appointment to remove remaining tooth and deep roots.

Been prescribed 4 lots of antibiotics already, paracetamol for jaw pain. Or tramadol/stronger meds as necessary.

Good luck with your jaw and really hope you find solution.

Hi pycat123,

My dentist told me I had either arthritis of jaw joint or TMJ. So my PCP ordered an xray of my jaw. I had arthritis.

I don't think cream would help. I was sent to physical therapy and also given a dental mold so I wouldn't bite on it at night and get it more out of whack.

I do tend to mash my teeth when stressed. Mine started in the summer so wasn't any worse in the cold. I had ringing in the ears sometimes with mine.

I was also sent for an audiologist exam. She said my hearing is fine except super high pitched dog waves from the sirens when I worked as a paramedic.

I do end up getting my cheek bitten sometimes and use OraGel on the inside of my mouth when it hurts.

Good luck to you. Maybe see your dentist if your bite is off it can be fixed a little.
