Anyone try Lotion bar for dry skin?
Morning, Yes I make one using beeswax, coconut oil, sweet almond oil and a few essential oils for scent. I mainly use it for my feet because of Chilblains, but it's a good rich all round moisturiser.I've also stopped using any bottled products, and I use natural soap bars and shampoo bars. My skin is so much better since I stopped using chemical based products. It also means there's no plastic waste in the bathroom..
For soaps I highly recommend isleofharrissoap.co.uk/ there's no nasties and it's really moisturising.
Hope this helps
Thanks you for recipe any alternative to almond oil i use ? I really hate all the chemicals in reg products just looking for more healthy choices so thank you
Try jojoba oil or argan oil. I use the peppermint soap bar from Isle of Harris soap as a shampoo bar then make a rinse out of apple cider vinegar and essential oil.
And I get shampoo bars from this shopthenaturalsoapshop.com/shop...
Here thehighlandcraftcompany.com...
And here peaksoap.com/shampoo-bars-d...
And there's no nasties or palm oil in them.
Hope this helps.
Try lush products 😍 online or in store I'm sure they won't disappoint 💞💞💞
aquaphor lotion is great. love julie
While visiting my Rheumatologist, my legs were itching and she suggested 100% raw Shea Butter. It really helps! One things to note: press your fingers onto it, letting the heat melt the solid butter. . . then rub in on to your dry skin. If you try scooping it up to spread, it will not dissolve appropriately, leaving white pearly oil balls on your skin.
It gives my skin a nice healthy glow and lasts for hours!
