So, same Doctor, same appointment, and I also ask the GP to look at my inflamed Levido Reticularis which is agony at the moment. He refused to assess it.
I won't lie, I'm a bit gutted about it.
How do I handle this? And what is the next point of contact to have this looked at?!
With love and respect to all,

No kidding. For GP to hand wave that blows my friggin mind. It should be worked up esp in a person with a history of DVT/PE. What is wrong with these people!?
Hi, I am absolutely not making excuses for your GP but maybe his refusal to assess it was because it was a second issue. Many surgeries have a policy now that they will only discuss one issue per appointment to stop them running over. Personally, I think this is ridiculous but I know it happens. You could try just making a new appointment with a different GP. If that does not work, put in a complaint with the practice manager and make a point that your pain is being ignored. If that fails, contact you local CQC - kind of like the GP’s regulator. Good luck x
But if it's all linked into one issue and those other things can confirm it other than oh it's just a cold!.
Take this one for instance your Diabetic you go to Quacks your not feeling well have a bit of a fever etc(Covid Aaargh(Latest excuse) so they say just take Paracetamol blah blah? So you then say about my foot/leg " no one item" but your bit too quick and have it on show!.
Now there tune changes! as it's 999 Whoo Whoo you have Gangrene!
Yet if hadn't added that in you'd have been thrown out with packet of Quacks Fave Smarties and at Best leg off at worst Death in agony.
Happened to my Dad they found him on front room carpet!
Hi Vicrum88,It could well be the two issue rule. Definitely make another appointment and make sure you tell them you are in pain.
If you intend to complain then it's a good idea to record the consultation. You will then have an accurate records of what happened. Otherwise the only record will be that made by the Doctor which will not include that they refused to look at a second issue. From personal experience there is a great deal of dishonesty in the medical community when things go wrong.
First complaint would be to NHS England. They will carryout a poor quality investigation. Simply write to the GP and ask for a response. It's at this point you can reveal the recording to show the GP has been dishonest. Then you can forward original complaint, reply & recording to CQC. It's also a good idea to check the practice reviews for others reporting similar. It would be an idea to make your own review in any case.
CQC will only be able to act on good evidence, so you should think about collecting it now.
Sosie sarahsch , I absolutely understand what you're saying about the rules and doctors time but I did explain to him that I was concerned that the 2 could be connected. I honestly didn't expect him to do anything about my leg but I did want him to document how bad it is. I'm not too proud to admit that I'm scared. I'm scared of everything that's changing and happening to me so I was looking for some reassurance from him. I know GPs are limited and only trained in certain fields so I do understand what they can and cannot do. Xxx
AutumnJ - I'm horrified to say that this was actually a brand new doctor I seen in a different surgery due to the fact that the incompetence of the last surgery I was with was horrendous. 2 steps forward, 3 steps back. Urgh!! Xxx
