Anyone?

It appeared day before yesterday. Looked a bit like a blood blister when it first popped up. It's since flattened a bit, faded then a new tiny blood spot has surfaced which feels 'open' . It's slightly sore . I've had something similar on my toes in the past and on my thumb.

I 've had the same sort of blister. It looks like a digital ulcer typical of a scleroderma patient.

Hi thank you for replying. Do you get them, do you have multiple?

I am a 63 year old male from northern Italy. I have had scleroderma since November 2011.I get at least a couple of digital ulcers every winter at the tips of my fingers. Usually index and middle fingers. Fortunately, at least for now, I have scleroderma in a mild form, only taking nifedipine for my Raynaud's. The medicine helps but not completely. All the best for the upcoming holiday season and the future to you and all the followers of this forum.

Thank you elprof57 - I am not sure now what it could be. I have Inflammatory Arthritis and Raynaud's only in my right hand and the red spot is on the left index finger. Also the weather is very mild, warm even - at the moment (not very Christmassy!) the only attacks I have had have been in the supermarket - Aldi in particular!I usually get chillblains too, as soon as it gets even a little bit cold but only have 2 and they're not bad.

Have a good Christmas.

I forgot to mention that the ulcers I have, occur only on my right hand. The only time I had an ulcer on my left one was a dot like yours 4 yrs ago. Also,as you, Raynaud's occurs predominantly in my right hand. I've been told these features are typical of secondary Raynaud's and lcSSc. Cheers.

Hi, this is something I have been bothered with over last 10 years. How I describe mine is, the tip of my finger will start with a dull pain then within a day or two the pain ramps up and a small reddish black dot will appear. The dot over the next week will either split and ulcerate or if lucky, dot and surrounding area (still painful) will go quite hard, but within a few weeks will then go away.
