Sparse capillaries

Would it be unusual to have sparse nailbed capillaries in primary raynauds? My rheumatologist said he thought it likely i had primary raynauds triggered from stopping fluoxetine after 10 years use (i had very mild symptoms prior) but my finger symptoms are a bit atypical and he has ordered a load of screens and x rays to check but I have already had a negative ANA. I just noted in his letter to the gp the sparse. Can that be normal?

Hi,

My understanding is that in secondary raynauds the capillaries are enlarged rather than sparse. Hope this helps.

Thank-you thats useful. I'll have a follow up with him when all the tests are back but bit frustrating as he said capillaries were normal in app.

I have Systemic Sclerosis with secondary Raynaud’s but my nailfolds are entirely normal. The rheumatologist conducting the test said they were neither sparse nor enlarged. I know this is very unusual though.
