The main issue that I get is SIBO. (Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) army small intestine doesn’t move properly. This leads to weight loss, pain, constipation and diarrhoea. I have to have frequent antibiotics. Also reflux which is a given really. I also can’t tolerate alcohol very well.
Again due to the disease each individual can have differing symptoms.
I was very anaemic & weak at the onset of my illness 3 years ago. I had a camera inserted via my throat & it was found I had a clump of cells bleeding. I had no pain at all! I had Argon therapy to zap the cells. I also had terrible reflux & a lot of constipation.
I was placed on Omeprazole & varying products to ease the reflux & constipation.
I now find less tolerance with meat which can go straight through me. It's a trial & see with food & I'm learning to be more inventive in my choices.
I hope you manage to reduce your pain level & find out the true reasons. Xx
Hi i have always had bits of heartburn/indigestion im not sure of the difference. This last 3 week it has gone really bad, had this something to do with this deise?
Yes I have very bad stomach problems with my Scleroderma. The pain is unbelievable. I find it affects my bladder and bowels. I am seeing the consultant about it tomorrow at Shrewsbury hospital. I hope that they can help. Not giving much hope. Lived like this for years along side everything else.
It comes on a few days a week, sometimes for no reason. I find excerise walking which is about all I can do and any stressful moment brings it on.
