This is my first post, and would be grateful for your insight. Has anyone ever woken up to this? It extends up my left arm, and there are a few on the top of right hand and right shoulder, as well. A telangiectasia spot appeared in the palm of my left hand at the same time. I’ve had telangi’s on my face for many years. Note: I was diagnosed with Raynaud’s in 2015, at the age of 56, which is why I’m writing in this group. Now, at 61, have been diagnosed with RA and PMR (3 different doctors). ESR was 110, ANA, CRP and RH were negative. I live in the US and am thoroughly confused.
Many thanks,
Linda

It's not a rash that I recognise to be honest, they look a bit like insect bites from your photo. Are you worrying that there might be something else going on? I've had scleroderma since the age of 18, and the rash doesn't look like anything that I recognise. I can however advise you of blood tests that you would need if you are concerned.
I thought they look like insect bites too. But they do not itch or sting, and are not fluid-filled or blistered. We do have dogs, but they are on monthly flea prevention. It is mosquito season and they are rampant in our neighborhood, but again - no itch - and mosquito bites itch like crazy. We have thoroughly checked our bedding and see no evidence of any type of any infestation such as bedbugs (gross!). And... my hubby does not have any spots like these. I just don’t get it.
I have had them for 3 days now. If they are still here by Monday, I will have to see the dermatologist. I would very much like to know of the tests you mentioned in your reply. It is so frustrating not knowing exactly what is going on in one’s body. Thank you for the reply and for sharing your observations.
Perhaps try some cold aloe Vera gel on them to see if that brings the inflammation down. With regards to blood tests, you've already had a few that I would suggest, but they're not very specific so I would ask for ANA, ENA and TSH. This will indicate if there's anything autoimmune on the horizon.
They look like my telangectasia spots but mine didn't appear overnight, they justs sort of crept up on me. I have little ones like that on my hands and larger ones on my face, I have had the latter for years. If they are not itchy at all then that might be what they are. But I have a high ANA reading and a formal Limited systemic sclerosis diagnosis with the 'full set' of CREST symptoms.
I sometimes wake up with these, look like bites bit then disappear within a few hours. Also itchy red splodges often on my palm, again can disappear quite quickly but take Cetirizine antihistamine to assist.
