The last few days I’ve developed telangiectasia around my eyelids and under my eyebrows but yesterday red botches spread alongside my eyes and over the evening onto my forehead - they sting like mad if I accidentally scratch my face. Any clues whatsoever as to what’s going on? I’m on hydroxychloroquine. I think it might be linked to sun exposure? Not been out for long but I have been a bit.
Hi there, when you get a new rash you need to ask if you have done anything different, or used any different products. If you have been out in the sun, which has been pretty intense, and you have not had Factor 50 on your face, and sunglasses with UVA/UVB protection, and you have an auto immune condition, and/or if you are on meds that increase your sensitivity to the sun, then the likelihood is that it is an inflammatory reaction and it will settle.
If it persists and causes more distress then contact your GP/Consultant.
Sometimes when you have an auto immune condition you get these weird symptoms that come and go with no seemingly reasonable explanation.
