Does alcohol affect sensitivity of skin?

Hi there

I was wondering if anyone else with Limited Scleroderma is affected the day after a night of drinking?

If I've been out on the drink, I find that the next day all of my skin is super super sensitive. It feels like I've been beaten up and I'm bruised all over. Just touching my skin is painful.

I just wanted to see if there is a connection. My guess is there is but hoping others have similar experience and can relate to this.

Not really but I do feel a bit rotten the day after drinking, more so than a few years ago... I presume it’s age related, not scleroderma driven...sorry to hear you’re in pain:( perhaps alternate alcohol with water And see how you feel?

Thank you for your response.

Yeah, it's strange. I've never suffered with hangover feelings but this feeling of my skin being super sensitive to touch is weird. It used to be a bit scary but I've got used to it.

I just wandered if others with scleroderma experienced something similar.
