Been to dentist to do impressions for a tooth to go on my denture the dentist did half hurt me cause my mouths so painful it was hard to open my mouth dentist doesn’t understand about Raynauds I m still in pain now does anyone else have that problem pls x

Hi I know what you mean, but my dentist has learnt that I can only tolerate a child size impression mould which hurts, but not as much. I hope you feel better soon. Xx

Hi Luckely my dentist is aware of the problems associated with Sclorederma, She works along side the special care dentistry at my local hospital.If she feels she carnt treat then she refers me to the dental hospital, It may be worth asking your dentist to refer you to your local dental hospital.Hope you feel better soon .x

Someone must have stepped Off IT ...., The box ...., I just stepped atop it .......

HERE goes.....,

I had All my teeth pulled, in February this year....

(But the oral surgeon left 2 ) ... So I would be able to wear a Partial in the bottom *HA!!!*.., he screwed the pooch... (A military term for he messed it up BADLY !!!)

Where infact ...........,

I informed him.., before hand ***I am NOT your typical Average Patient*** I have a weird Autoimmune Disease ..., *Systemic Sclerosis - *Raynodes- *HypoThyroid - Every thing !!! Can't open my mouth for very long, it hurts !!! I need small blocks too help ...

I handed him my personal Medical journal, from Allergies , to Surgeries .........,

I suggest he research about my Conditions.... Too Understand it ... So he would not 🤬 HURT me..... I informed him too ....,my lower incisors are NOT hurting me .... Just leave those 4 alone..... (They need only to be crowned) .... But no he leaves 2 THAT are clearly in piss poor condition.... (Lower cuspids)....

*******And I am without a doubt ..., Positive he NEVER EVER ONCE Googled or researched, the information*******

(I ended up with Freaking Whip-Lash!!! I looked like I had been in a Wreck, where I was cut out of a car with the Jaws of life!!! )

But in my medical journal....,

I even have pamphlets .., from the *Scleroderma Foundation* .....

Now over 10 months later .....

I have **yet** TOO be able too wear any **Denture** ( if he read my allergies list , he would have seen **laytex allergies** ........ (the new way too make Denture's now is *in one day* .., they are made with a plastic...(a so called **hypoallergenic plastic**) if plain Band-Aids make your skin itch!!! And will remove the Skin it is attached TOO ...., Guess what ???? You are Alergic, to it.... (It's considered a Mild reaction.... Even if it *Rip's away your own Skin 🤔🤔🤔 personally I think it's a bad reaction when my skin is PULLED off my body .... It FREAKING Hurts!!!) LOL 🙃

How strange is that ???? Or am I just a baby 😢 about a band-aid???? .............

I'm ten plus months now, after having my teeth Pulled.... Now I have **Famtom teeth**... (Yep!! Like Famtom *fingers, or leg* after amputation) I can't Wear the Plastic Denture's ..., And my Face HURTS!!! Not just where The teeth were ..., But I have a pain in my Jaws ..., That is A Shocking Surprise .... It is as if I was just hit by a bolt of lightening !!!! It comes and goes .... (OVER the past month it has only gotten WORSE !!!) .... After seeing ENT At Vanderbilt I was diagnosed with Arthritis in the 3 bones of the ears .... both Ear's... I was crying my eyes out the day the ENT was trying too figure it out.....

I have been set up to see *Vanderbilt's Dental Ortho* Dr's.... Too find out what the what??? Is this Pain???? & to

have a split Made , TOO sleep in.... (Want to guess who said *I can make that!) ...

Yep the one that Pulled them ...

No problem..., (She is over closing her mouth , THAT is the problem , and cause of the Pain ...) ...

Don't you love it ..., That Everyone KNOWS ALL about your pain.... (Except for you .., yourself) .....

Now .....,

He has known all these months about the *Pain, getting worse .., *inability too wear the false teeth* ..., He even had TOO Remove a Root !!!

(NOW🙄🤔) .... A Root Left behind !!!

and you get home , find something has happened..., & the one that did the deed , usually gives him/her self away ""I did not do it"" not me"" with that statement ...... )

Not to forget about it..., (I NOW have A Screech 🦉 owl!!! In each ear!!! TOO).....

But back to....

""I can make that!!"" ..... He got a copy of my records, from my ENT at Vanderbilt.., Immediately he called with """no I can't do that """ .....

"" REALLY ???? ""R-E-A-L-L-Y D-U-D-E ??!! For real ??? "" After you beg me ..., and Said you can make it.... And Now you have a copy of my Report from my doctor at Vanderbilt ...., But now you cannot make it....

I smell a polecat (that is Hillbilly, for a Skunk) .....

Dose anyone else See Red Flags ??? Or Am I just plain dumb ????

Because I have seen so many doctors..., And health care Professionals ...,

Sometimes I wonder......,

**Do No HARM** seriously ????.....

Why can't the **professionals** we have too trust ..., Just **Google** ...

(In this fast world !!!) .....

Is there any excuse .., for any health care professional to not know ??? To not understand??? What it is ???

******If I can take 30 seconds to Google a word , an find an answer ..... I think they can TOO.....

I'm sorry.., if I sound like I am Judging ..., As even our *Opinions* is judgement of someone* ....... I reckon I should step down from the soap box ...., And allow someone else to have a turn .... LOL 🙃

Thanks Katieanna,Glynis and 8whitetoes thanks for replying to my post my mouths in agony with her stretching my mouth went back today my mouths still sore to put my denture in with the tooth added still in agony I told her I had Raynauds she kept asking me to open me mouth wider but couldn’t is that all you can do she said I said yes it’s painful when I open wider they don’t understand x

Hi Frances,

Sadly this is another of the horrific problems associated with Raynauds &a Scleroderma.

I won't go into the gory details on here, let us simply say; do yourself an enormous favour and change your dentist! You need to find one that is fully conversant with and qualified to deal with our problems.

My teeth are a nightmare. I am reminded every day of the fact that I should have got the proper help at the time. Ring your local dental hospital

they should be able to help by giving you names of dental practitioners who can help you. Get checked immediately by a qualified person and make sure no damage has been done by someone who doesn't know what they are doing. If there is a problem sue them. Given that you informed them of your illness they are guilty of mal practice simply by tampering with something they know nothing about.

Hi, yes I do I’ve put of going back to the dentist for a year now. My dentist is aware of my condition but she still has to get her job done, whilst I’m gagging trying not to throw up. And not bite her fingers off that is my jaw hasn’t locked!
