I do not understand why I keep getting these cuts on my fingers and feet also. They are like small like paper cuts and they are very, very painful!! And they itch also. I cannot even walk when they appear on my feet or on the bottom of my heels?! Damn they are hurting now. I am a food server and when I go pick up glasses, etc. I worry every time that someone's tainted saliva will seep into a cut on my hands. I Krazy Glue them shut sometimes when they hurt because it helps them not to hurt any more and gives me a piece of mind that no tainted saliva enters my body! Why do these cuts just appear?
Little cuts on fingers and feet too..? - Scleroderma & Ray...
Little cuts on fingers and feet too..?
How nasty for you! I've had Raynauds since around 1984 but have never had these little cuts you describe. Hwever, I would think the worst thing you can do is glue the cuts together! Surely you can wear extra thin gloves (same as those used in anything from hospitals to pastry shops). I use various prescribed creams for badly dry skin on my lower legs and ankles. Maybe these cuts are associated with very dry skin? You don't say whether you have Raynauds or Scleroderma -- both can affect the skin.
I get cracks like these on my heels when the skin is very dry. I'm usually in bare feet when I can (at home etc) and I have to use a very thick cream for this and put socks over it overnight to stop them happening. I've not had them on y hands but as a server I guess your hands are in and out of water so other than gloves at work or again cracked heel balm with cotton gloves o/night, I haven't got another useful suggestion.
I get them all the time and use liquid skin, it stings a lot but they are protected from infection
