Nifedical xl

Does anyone experience extreme fatigue while taking Nifedical xl? Can it be taken every other day for Raynaud's syndrome? I have been taking it for 4 days and I am so drained. I have low energy. Wondering what to do. Any suggestions???

Hi Beaglab

The every other day scenario would be a good question for your pharmacist, and might be ok with a slow release nifedipine.

It often takes a few days to adjust to any new medication however.

Meanwhile Is it helping the Raynaud's?

Also, if you can, check the effect on your blood pressure.

Generally nifedipine can be helpful.

Good luck!

Have you tried a different brand? I was started on coractel xl and had very bad wooziness but when dose increased they gave me adalat LA and the side effects went.

Thank you. I have been to the dr and he said that I don't need any vasodilator at this time. He is aware that I take Niacin and is supportive. He gave me a prescription for low dose adalat, I think that is the name of the med, tovtake when the weather gets cold if I need it.
