Hi,
The spots are defined as "telangiectasia" and are associated with "Raynauds" and with "scleroderma". They are the capillaries (blood vessels) under your skin being changed by the condition. It is unlikely they will go. Indeed it is more likely (sorry to be the bearer of bad news) that they will increase over time. Having suffered from the problem for over ten years I am reasonably well informed on the subject.
I would encourage you to stay clear of laser treatment of any type. You will only make matters worse. The patches have a habit of reaping revenge on one in my experience. The more you provoke them the more they will expand and "bite back".
Try not to let them worry you. Stress will exacerbate them. If you leave them alone with luck they will slow down and stop. I have pretty much the same level as I had ten years ago. They are not too unsightly and one gets used to them. There are worse things. Ask your GP about "nifedipine" namily Adalat (I take 60mg daily with no side effects) also there are many vasodilators that will help the condition. I would suggest you ask for a referral to a Rheumatologist with urgency. Nip it in the bud so to speak. Stress will make matters worse so try not to get too worried about, well, anything really. I know it's easy to say, but, your best form of defence is to relax and try not to worry. Avoid extremes of temperature and fluctuations of same. Put sunblock on and keep your skin moisturised.
In short, the illness takes on many forms with many differing symptoms. Get to a Rheumatologist asap. In the meantime; keep a good diet (if you smoke. STOP!) try to keep a reasonable level of fitness and keep your temperature even. There is quite a bit of info out there try googling CREST syndrome. Don't scare yourself silly with too much irrelevant stuff. The chances are it is not a problem for you.
Good luck with it. I hope all goes well.
Regards. Mark.
Thank you Mark I'm already on Adalat Retard I do moisture every day but I will now start to use sunblock 😊 Guess the spots are really the least of my worries with all the other symptoms I have and by reading other people's symptoms I really should not complain.
Take Care

Have a look at the Changing Faces website changingfaces.org.uk where you can refer yourself to have a consutation for matching a cream to the skin tone of your face to camaflouge the telangiectasia. It really does work for most people, men women and children. Once applied properly the cream will be smudge and water proof unlike makeup . On the website there is a list of clinics to which you can refer yourself , the service is free but relies on donations to survive. Laser treatment also works for some people.
I have one of these spots right at the end of my nose..........BAAAHHH! Suppose it could be worse..but...oh dear!
I've had these for years before I realised I had scleroderma, on my hands and my face. I just put them down to awful complexion. Admittedly I've never been bothered about my cosmetic appearance - don't wear makeup, never have, but I regard this is one of the minor aspects of CREST and am much more concerned about finger ulcers and important things like dexterity that really affect me day-to-day.
The laser treatments can cause hard black scabs, scars and usually come back. The spots are called Telangictasias.
