I was diagnosed with Raynauds nearly thirty years ago and it was manageable. However I broke my thumb in December and it is not healing properly. It is still very swollen and stiff and is purple most of the time.Has anyone experienced problems following a fracture? Is Raynauds connected?I'm having physiotherapy and possibly acupuncture.

It sounds like the poor circulation is delaying healing. I would speak to a rheumatologist about a medication to encourage the dilation of capillaries. There's lots of options to try eg lorsartan. (You may already be on this!) I would see a rheumatologist because they have more options than your GP -they may suggest an iloprost in hospital gor a few days as a last resort. I am sure there are lots of options to help you - good luck!

Gangrene and ulceration are a real risk with Raynaud's,particularly when something goes wrong. I would suggest you talk to your GP lickety split about a referral to your Rheumatologist or a Vascular specialist.
