Has anyone made the choice to move to a warmer climate? If so did the warmer climate really make the difference in having less Raynaud's attacks?

thinking about moving to a warmer climate
Hi
I have not but am planning to move to a climate that is more steady year round as soon as I graduate. However my doctor did tell me & my family that most people with Raynauds eventually move to a warmer climate.
-Raynauds Phenomenon
-SLE
-Fibromyalgia
-Protein C Deficiency & Factor 5 Leiden Mutation

Thank you for your responses! Your replies give me confirmation that our decision to move our family to a warmer climate in the near future is the right choice.
In 2001 we moved to southern Spain with our youngest two children and yes it was a great help to my Raynauds.
However last year (after 13 years in Spain) we decided to move back to the UK to be closer to family as my husband is now an OAP and we have grandchildren. Although we did not move back to our original home town of Chester, in the chilly and damp North West, instead we are living in Dorset and surprisingly I have found quite a difference in living on the South coast of the UK rather than the North. So maybe what I am saying is going south has helped it just depends on your own circumstances how far you can go!
Good luck
When I went to S.Africa laste Dec/Jan I had no pain whatsoever and I felt well all over. My feet weren't numb, my hands weren't sore! It was 35% and it was glorious! I haven't felt so well in 6 years. I would definately recommend it if you can move somewhere warmer.
Hello, I am planning to move to S Brittany, where I know the climate will be milder. Idealy though I think the best place in Europe for all year mildness is S Spain. Interesting to see that sandraj says that even moving to Dorset has helped. This is my plan B if we don't make it to France. I am based in chilly/damp N Yorks and can't wait to move south.
I live in the USA and spend my winters in Southern Florida in the Florida Keys. Lots of sunshine and warmth and no raynauds! (only get raynauds in the winter when I shop in the freezer section of the food store) I do get raynauds when home in Pennsylvania during the Spring & Fall.
Yes I am also from the US. We have made the decision
to move. The only challenge now is my husband needs to find a job. He is a physicist.
I came to teach in Kenya 40 years ago. I had no problems with Raynauds for years after coming here. Before I left England, I had terrible chilblains, even up my legs. We are quite high (5600ft) and it is a bit cold here now (global cooling?!), so I do "lose my fingers" frequently these days, but it is much better than being in UK.
lher123 - I am actually a retired Physics teacher!
