Hello all I am struggling to get health insurance. I have an ileostomy and limited systemic sclerosis. Can anyone recommend a good insurer as I dare not risk going away without it. Thanks. Debbie

Hi. I always use saga and have found it very good. Of course it depends if you are over 50. If you're not I have heard all clear is good but I can't speak from experience.

Good luck I'd be interested to hear how you get on as I to have an ileostomy and scleroderma but haven't been well enough to go away yet.

I believe if you are over 50 Age UK would be a good start, they would be able to look into which insurances are available. Also at the Shine On conference I am sure someone mentioned to me an insurance company that insured people with health problems of all sorts. I may be worth getting in touch with RSA and asking them also.

Hi Debbie.

Just got travel insurance from LV. I have crest and under active thyroid. My husband has suffered from hodgkins lymphoma 9 years in remission and is diabetic insulin dependant, after spending a morning ringing round insurance companies in our case LV came out the best. You could always give them a ring

Good luck and enjoy your holiday
