I have the same but a long time ago it has stopped giving me pain. It could be because I had advice from the rheumatologist.
I would see the Rheumy, you may need a ppi / antacids. Best not to neglect this, especially if you have Barretts'.
It wo uld not be appropriate for me to tell what advice I received from my rheumatologist as we are all different.
Don't be afraid to see your rheumatologist and get proper advice in how to alleviate your symptoms. Ours is a chronic disease and we must not be afraid to know what to do to prevent symptoms.
Ask you GP to refer you to the Hospital for an Endoscopy/Gastroscopy, this should clarify your problem, and the appropriate medication should help you.
