My 2 year old daughter keeps going blue in the face around her lips and her lips, as well as her hands and feet. Is this normal? We have no official diagnosis yet but are on a waiting list.
Blue lips and face?: My 2 year old... - Scleroderma & Ray...
Blue lips and face?
It can affect other extremities such as nose & ears so I wouldn't rule it out as being possibly linked. Hope you get answers soon (waiting lists can seem to take forever). Xx
Hi !
The second thing my specialist asked me at my first appointment is "do you have a cold nose" - to which my husband answered "constantly". 11 years on I still have a cold nose all the time and my chin, jaw and ears are often really cold as well.
If you've been waiting for a while it's probably worth asking your GP to see if he can get your daughter seen more quickly. Contacting the secretary of the specialist is also worth a try, I have had quite a lot of success with this in the past.
Wishing you all the best.
NO! This is NOT normal! Get this child to a Pediatrician ASAP
I have always had the problem with my lips turning blue. Never thought anything of it as I just put it down to me being cold. My sister in-law said it is heart related. And I was diagnosed heart failure few years after. Bur I also now suffer raynauds so may av been to do with this. Not to sure. But I would 100% get her checked out no matter what. Good luck and hope it nothing serious x
