Hi

Took about a week or two for me. Very fast and I took the machine home on the day of the test too.

All the best

It really only took that long to get tested? Where you refereed to an ENT first of just the sleep study. My problem is a very large uvula and soft pallet. I have to wait a few month to see the ENT. But i see another specialist on Wednesday for something else maybe they can hurry it along for me (endocrinologist).

I went straight to sleep clinic. But I didn’t expect to be diagnosed. I believed that I would just tick a box of investigation and come home. Was quite a shock.

Worth going direct if possible - sleep clinics are amazing and very kind places. Sure you will get the support you need.

Take care.

North Yorkshire.

Once referred by my GP I waited 6 weeks before appointment for sleep clinic.

Home tested for a couple of nights and then a week later fitted with a cpap machine which took a few weeks to get used to ( I have COPD).

I feel so much better now and it's reassuring to know someone is looking at my sleep stats on a regular basis.

Best Wishes

NHS Scotland getting referred to the respiratory clinic to now dont know how long but GP said should be quicker than the ENT. As they are the ones that can do sleep studies.

Once you get there you'll be fine. I've found every person involved with the sleep clinic to be completely professional and understanding. It's a well researched subject away from the GP's and a lot more common than I ever though, these guys know there stuff.

Best Wishes you'll be in good hands.
