I have had insomnia for over a month. Doctor has tried many meds. Anyone else experienced this, and what worked for you?

Try Amitriptyline, if you have not yet, works for me. I take it 3 hrs before bedtime. Its actually an antidepressant found to induce sleep as a secondary use. Your doctor can tell you more.

I agree. Amitriptyline just 10mg did wonders for me. I slept very well and felt relaxed the next day. Non habit forming and no side effects. This med DOES WORK.

Stay away from antidepressants for insomnia; long term usage caused my heart failure and LBBB.
