Me being me

Checking in for the first time in a long time. I have had insomnia for as long as I can remember. In the last year I have also developed a chronic itch disorder Psoriasis which also disturbed my sleep. The term "moderate to severe" is more uncomfortable then I would ever have imagined. My sister is a life long early riser and I constantly compare my self to her which is a bad idea. The lethargy which is a side effect of insomnia is an embarrassment and leaves me feeling ashamed. Insomnia really plays with the mind.

Try magnesium oil. Magnesium chloride. If you get the pure stuff you may need to dilute it if your skin is sensitive or sometimes existing rashes will cause it to burn. It does not damage the skin if it does that but it is uncomfortable. It's not actually an oil so you can easily dilute it with a bit of water until you get the concentration that works for you. You can also get it in creams with other ingredients where it is already diluted and might have skin moisturizers or other treatments for specific skin disorders included.

Magnesium oil both can reduce psoriasis symptoms (and most every other kind of rash, acne, or any skin irritation that is not from friction) and magnesium often improves sleep including topically absorbed versions. It does leave a salty residue behind when it dries so some use it shortly before a shower with just enough time to let it dry. Especially if they are also applying something else for a skin disorder. While others have no problem leaving it all night and rinsing it off in the morning. Bonus effect magnesium oil gets rid of body odor and some use it in place of deodorants.

I know the feeling. It's why they you use sleep deprivation as a method of interrogation/torture. It can drive you crazy. It does get one depressed and feeling like you can't keep up with life.
