Hi everyone, I just switched to Valerian drops after having been on Sleepeaze tablets for a few weeks. The tablets always worked like a charm, but I've been worried about getting addicted to them so I thought I'd try something more natural. I've had reoccurring insomnia from time to time and I'd like to use the lockdown to establish a good sleeping pattern (I normally work shifts but staying at home atm). Any experiences with quitting Nytol/Sleepeaze or using Valerian drops? In the meantime, sleep well everyone! 😴😊

Hi MITCHMATCH, sorry to hear about your sleep troubles! What did you here about Sleepeaze in the news? 😯
Hi... the person above is thinking of a Product called U-Dream. It was pulled from market because it did contain zoplicone or similar acting zoplicone agent which was potentially harmful. This product is mfg in Canada where the user is from.
As far as getting off diphenhydramine, taper off it slowly. Do a gradual reduction/slow taper. Will you suffer withdrawal and insomia, most likely. Long term use dulls the antihistamine receptors and it will take time to restore balance in the brain.
The experience I’ve had using Valerian is not positive. It made insomnia worse/was stimulating. The product used alone or in other sleep medicines did not work for me. It will be something you need to experiment with carefully, do your research on this and if taking with other medication or supplements read up on possible interactions. Best of luck to you.
Thank you, I'll try to wean myself off gradually and see what works!
