I'm new here and i've been struggling getting a full 8 hours sleep a day, I once tried taking a sleeping tablet but that also didn't work, I was wide awake at 1am as usual but i wasn't in control of my body, So if there are any natural methods, that would be helpful.

Struggling To Sleep For More Than 4 Hours
Magnesium works for a lot of people. Me included 😊 If you google Magnesium for Insomnia there’s a lot about it on the internet. Hope this helps 😊
As below, magnesium... it is essential to produce GABA, the neurotransmitter responsible for switching our nervous system into relax / sleep mode. Get the citrate or the glycinate NOT OXIDE. Women need 280 mg / day "elemental magnesium" and men, 320. You will get some from food, but our soil is so demineralised now that I don't think we can get enough no matter how well we eat (I can't..). You will get around 65mg elemental magnesium from 500mg magnesium citrate, so take enough. But I would start slowly, with one capsule, otherwise you may get diarrhoea. more about magnesium in the sleep tips on my website - search Zeez sleep. Good Luck
The only thing that has helped me get more than 3-4 hours of sleep is taking melatonin at 5mg/ bedtime. I've tried sleeping meds, other meds, and still take quetiapine which makes me sleepy. Nothing helped that I could afford except the melatonin and only that after a full 6 weeks. You might want to try that, but if so, don't give up until you've given it at least 6 weeks. I hope you find your answer!😉
Hugs, Love, and Blessings...
I take magnesium L-threonate to calm the mind and 1.5 mg of melatonin. I also take Cool and Calm formula. I have to watch my diet too. I try not too have any gluten, corn or beans as those are hard to digest for me and cause me to wake up in the night and not get back to sleep.
