Insomnia since 4 years old

I’m 27 yo, I had sleeping problems since I was 4 yo when I had head injury - I have no idea if it’s related-. I would stay up all night and couldn’t function in the morning, even I forced my self to sleep and got 8+ hours of it I can’t help but feel super tired in the morning, my eyelids would be so heavy and I feel dizzy . If I forced myself to stay up 24 even 36 hours I still struggle to fall asleep at night.

If you’re wondering how I went through school, each day was reversed, I would sleep right after school at 3 - 4 pm and wake up around 12 am.

My sleeping is very heavy, once I go to sleep Im basically gone. But I have really vivid dreams most of the nights.

Have anyone experienced this before? and how do your cope with it?

Wow it appears that you've had a very tough time. Have you spoken to a GP about this if it's been an ongoing issue?
