Since my illness and sleep problems I have found exercise meditation and yoga a great help. I have arthritis in both knees and my fingers, sleep apnoea, asthma and copd. Many people have said I would not be able to exercise with these problems but I do and enjoy it. I do chair exercise and laying on the bed I do half an hours stretching. I also use the window sill for support to stretch my legs. Yoga was one of the best things I ever attempted and yes I do it sitting on a chair. The meditation helps with stress and my breathing. All of this helps my frame of mind and most nights I sleep reasonably well.

I couldn't agree more Calvados1 ! I've only recently started doing gym classes and I've really noticed a difference in how fast I can get to sleep on the days I do them.
It's amazing you are so active despite your arthritis, asthma and copd! Hopefully your post will inspire others who have been told they won't be able to exercise because of their condition(s). Thanks for sharing!
