Long Term zopiclone use

I have been using eszopiclone (the active of the two racemic enanatiomers in zopiclone) for over 15 years, don't get to sleep without it. I take half the 3 mg tablet at bedtime, the other half if I awaken during the night (usually to urinate) and sleep does not return in 15 minutes. Other than my dependence upon it solely to sleep well, I've noted no particular side effects. Yes, my memory is not great -- but I'm 80, my gf of the same age also has trouble recalling the name of the lead actor in "Gladiator". I watch Jeopardy with my finger on the pause button . . . but then always did.
