I don’t, thankfully, but funnily enough my acupuncturist asked me this question only yesterday! Sjogrens severely affects my eyes and to a lesser extent my mouth. I eat a lot of fruit and try to drink lots of water so maybe that helps me.

I did when they increased my hydroxychloroquine dose to 300mg a day. I'm not great on 200mg a day but it's hydroxychloroquine that gives me constipation definitely. My dose is back to 200mg as I just couldn't take laxatives every day to counteract it.

Yes, I’m afraid I do, and have done for years. I am now on 2 x laxatives a day plus my rheumatologist has now put me on Prucalopride x 1 in the morning. This might have helped a bit, but still unpleasantly affected I’m afraid. A sluggish gut is quite common with Sjögrens from what I have read. I hope you find something that works. Best wishes.

I seem to cycle between constipation and sludge. 3 Dulcolax before bed delivers some help. I assume this is Sjogren's related since it began at the same time as dry mouth but no formal assessment or diagnosis in that regard. Will see a gastroenterologist soon.

I have IBS and have to be very careful about what I eat as different food groups trigger flare-upsso having IBS and SS makes my gut even more sensitive.

I suffer too. At the moment, I find a large spoon of milled flaxseed in my morning porridge is a big help. Not perfect, but much better. You have my sympathy.

I was just diagnosed with CIC. Chronic Isopathic Constipation from my Gastroenterologist in 4/24. It started 2 1/2 years ago around the time me I was officially diagnosed with Sjogren’s but also the time I had a major up of Long Covid. Who knows which caused it. After 3 Colonoscopies, CT scans and various natural helps and prescription drugs, I’m now aking Linzess and it has made a world of difference.

My Gastroenterologist said my CIC is Long Term and I’ll probably be taking Linzess the rest of my life, But it works for me’

Best wishes in your recovery!
