diagnosed with PBC and after some insistence was screened then was diagnosed with sjorgrens. I’ve read up a lot and that liver problems can be an extrglandular feature of sjorgrens. So what came first PBC or sjorgrens? And does that make sjorgrens primary or secondary? Just wondering what everyone’s understanding of it is.
which comes first?: diagnosed with PBC and... - Sjogren's Support
which comes first?
I don’t know whether anyone fully understands auto immune disease. I was diagnosed with lupus sle, then came secondary Sjgrens, then PBC. These were all within months of each other. Over the years, I would say sojgrens is the one that causes me more problems than anything else and I’ve noticed the last few years, the rheumotologist puts sjogrens before lupus on my letters. PBC has never caused me a problem, since taking orso, my bloods always show within range.
I’m still trying to understand the connection between all of diseases and how the body reacts, PBC is the tricky one. I joined their forum and to be honest I never really understand what half of the people say when they talk about levels etc and all I know is it can affect the liver. But hey! So long as I’m upright and can carry on as best I can I don’t worry about any of these illnesses 😉
