The rhuemetologist at the Mayo Clinic believes that a virus has/had attacked my vagus nerve which caused my Sjogren's symptoms. The symptoms lasted 20 days and have self resolved. I am to call if any of the symptoms return. Interestingly enough, I saw this article about mrna vaccines possibly reactivating dormant viruses within our bodies, like shingles/herpes zoster, Epstein Barr, and Lyme. My symtpoms started 14 days after my second Moderna vaccine.

I was tested years ago with negative results. My rheumatologist has treated me for Sjogrens regardless.

Yes, indeed, it was the salivary gland biopsy which allowed them to confirm the diagnosis

Yes I have seronegative I think. Well I say I think because I was diagnosed by +ANA, high immunoglobulins and lip biopsy. I do have bad sicca but my biggest issues have been small fibre neuropathy everywhere and GI problems top to tail. And I now have a rare antibody for Scleroderma - which the rheumatologist says I don’t have. So they I think the high immunoglobulins and rare scleroderma antibody must be related to my Sjögren’s. But I’m antibody Ro & La negative.
