Hi, I have secondary SS, Prof D'Cruz diagnosed me for SS, at St Thomas/ Guys, he does NHS & private.

He has been my NHS consultant for APS since 2006.

I know he,s very well thought of, but he has 3 times discharged me.( yesterday being the third.

Each time I am discharged he says I can go back if needed, but the second time time I ended up in A&E and they said you need to see your consultant as a matter of urgency, see your gp and ask to be re referred and they contacted him and he said No, I,ve seen her recently and she was fine.

I went private and saw Prof Khamashta.

He apologised profusely, told me the lupus unit had let me down and that under him I would be seen six monthly, and not be discharged.

He said he believed I had other auto immune stuff going on, and he was " going to get to the bottom of me"

He referred me to himself on NHS but I only ever saw him once and then he left.

Since then I have been seen annually

I,very been on hydroxychloroquine for about 3 and half years and its been a godsend.

But Prof D,Cruz yesterday said to come off it.
